Blackie Spit Park Located at Crescent Beach in White Rock, Blackie Spit is a nature area bordered by Thunder and Mud Bays. The sandy spit is an important stop for migrating birds and wintering waterfowl and as such is a prime bird watching area with almost 200 species of birds recorded in a calendar year. Peace Arch The Peace Arch, dedicated in 1921, was the first such structure in the world. It was built on the International Boundary between Canada and the United States to commemorate the lasting peace between the two countries.
